Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Egyptian businessman, Naguib Sawiris, asked, on Wednesday, why he “disturbed the mood” by watching the Egyptian media, while he categorically denied that he had evaded taxes.
A user of the “X” platform (formerly Twitter) wrote to Sawiris: “No one watches the Egyptian media except to criticize it. Well, watch and criticize it.”
Sawiris responded to the post by saying: “Why do we spoil our mood in the summer… I personally watch Mickey and Batout cartoons.”
In another post, a user wrote: “This investor violated the terms of the investment agreement, violated the laws of the Republic, and evaded taxes and smuggled hard currency, so the investment agreements with him were canceled.”
The Egyptian businessman commented on these allegations by saying: “Your memorization of two words is a lie, O committee.”
