Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Officially Ceases to Exist on January 1, 2024: Decree of Dissolution Signed by Samvel Shahramanyan

The unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic officially ceased to exist on January 1, 2024.

This was reported by “European Truth”.

This happened in accordance with the order of the then so-called president of the unrecognized republic, Samvel Shahramanyan, signed in September.

Shahramanyan signed a decree of dissolution all government institutions until January 1, 2024 – from this day the self-proclaimed republic officially ceases to exist, the decree said.

The corresponding decree came after a lightning-fast one-day military operation by Baku, launched on September 19, as a result of which Azerbaijan actually returned Nagorno-Karabakh under its control.

Although Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has promised to guarantee the rights and safety of ethnic Armenians, decades of mistrust, war, mutual hatred and violence have left many Nagorno-Karabakh residents skeptical about the possibility of peaceful reintegration of the region.

As a result, they left Karabakh for Armenia more than 100 thousand ethnic Armenians.

EuroPravda spoke in detail about the events in the region in an article “Third Karabakh”.
