Jakarta –
After being exposed a month ago, Raffi Ahmad finally told his family that he had been infected with COVID-19. There are symptoms they feel while undergoing self-isolation.
Initially, Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina agreed not to share the news to the public. Not wanting to cover up, they each have their own reasons for that choice.
Raffi Ahmad is worried about getting negative comments from netizens if he claims to have been exposed to COVID-19.
“I don’t want to talk positive because the conditions are not conducive anymore. If we say positive, ‘Wow, this is endorsed by COVID.’ There are also many who died,” he explained.
Unlike Raffi Ahmad, Nagita Slavina had another reason not to announce her condition when she tested positive for COVID-19. Nagita is more concerned about her mental health, who is also pregnant.
“I’m most important when I’m positive to tell people who have just contacted and are closest, before I went to the hospital to meet a gynecologist and several people who met five days before,” said Nagita Slavina.
“When I tested positive Saturday, the next Tuesday the PCR was still negative. Tell the people who met after that Tuesday, just let them know. I also didn’t cover it up, it was for mental health,” he admitted.
Raffi Ahmad admitted that he was initially exposed to his wife and children, Nagita Slavina and Rafathar. Now, they are trying to recount the moment.
“Gigi (Nagita Slavina) panicked. The first time Corona cried,” said Raffi Ahmad.
Nagita Slavina said that although Rafathar was also experiencing symptoms, his son became more attentive to him, who was shivering at that time. Almost every night his hand was held by his son.
“I have a fever for two to three days. Rafathar holds my shivering mother every night,” said Nagita Slavina.
“It was more than a month ago (positive for Covid-19), now thank God he is healthy,” said Raffi Ahmad.
Although his parents said his son was symptomatic, Rafathar was so relaxed. He innocently admitted that he was only undergoing a moment of self-isolation with several activities he liked.
“Yes, just play games and continue to eat, take medicine, sleep, play games. Don’t get dizzy, watch, play badminton with Mbak Lala (the caregiver), jump up and down and keep going back and forth,” said Rafathar.
