Novak Djokovic made tennis history once again on Sunday! The 37-year-old won the thrilling final at the 2024 Olympics against Carlos Alcaraz 7:6, 7:6, thus achieving the “Golden Slam”.

By achieving the “Golden Slam,” Djokovic joins an elite circle. To date, only Steffi Graf, Andre Agassi, Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal have triumphed in all four Grand Slam tournaments and in the Olympic singles.

The latter is happy about his rival’s triumph – and congratulates him in his Instagram story. “Congratulations, Novak, for completing the Golden Slam and achieving what you wanted. Well done!” writes Nadal.

In addition to Nadal, numerous other active and former tennis stars congratulated him on social media. Footballer Neymar also wrote in his Instagram story: “Legend.”

Someone who hasn’t spoken out yet is Roger Federer. There is no comment on either his Instagram or X profile. The maestro is usually quick to congratulate his former competitors on milestones.
