Claim. Mirtha Legrand asked for help for La Casa del Teatro: “It has a very serious problem”

The actress and singer proposed a solidarity campaign to help the Casa del Teatro, an institution that has been without gas service for almost 10 months in its building located at Avenida Santa Fe 1200, in the City of Buenos Aires. This home houses about 50 retired actors and actresses who lack resources and housing.

“They have been without gas for months. They are going through a horrible situation due to the temperatures that have been there, and the ones that will come now. I find it incredible that in the 21st century, on Santa Fe Avenue, this problem exists,” said Nacha, visibly worried about the extreme situation that her colleagues have reached.

He also invited his followers to join the cause. “Why don’t you make a video demanding that this service be restored no matter what the cost? They charge us what they charge us and they can do a charitable and good deed by restoring this service and send it to Metrogas,” suggested Guevara, committing to continue making the claim visible. “I am going to do the same with this video, let’s see if they have even a little bit of shame and give back some of what they receive excessively,” he said.

Nacha also took the opportunity to recall the historical importance of the Casa del Teatro. “It is an institution that was created many years ago by Alvear’s wife to house actors who have no family or resources when they reach an age when no one wants them anymore, that is the truth,” she stressed.

“I trust that you have good hearts and respect those people who arrive there in very difficult situations, because otherwise you would not get there, and that you can at least not be cold. Is that too much to ask?” Nacha said in closing, appealing to the sensitivity and solidarity of those who follow her.
