NAC O21 – Go Ahead Eagles O21: 1-1
On Saturday 14 September, NAC’s O21 team failed to secure three points and had to settle for a draw against Go Ahead Eagles O21. The first half started strongly, with the home team having a strong possession. The first goal was scored after fifteen minutes. The Eagles were unable to get a grip on NAC’s build-up. In addition, Go Ahead was not strong in attack. Unfortunately, the team from Breda was unable to get more out of the first half, which meant they went into half-time with a lead of ‘only’ 1-0.
NAC O21 did not start the second half well. The home team was sloppy on the ball at Sportpark Heksenwiel. The Deventer team did create chances, but the Breda defense managed to nip every attack in the bud. Unfortunately, Go Ahead eventually managed to break through the defense. Deep into injury time, the equalizer was scored.
The match eventually ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw. Next Saturday they will play away, where they will face FC Groningen at Sportpark Corpus Den Hoorn.
