The reaction of the coach, Guillaume Lacour:
“We end the season with a great victory in Mulhouse. We played with a team made up largely of defenders. Our match was very serious, with an excellent state of mind. We created several chances in the first half and we managed to open the scoring on an off-centre set piece, deflected at the near post by a Mulhouse player in his own goal (0-1, 44′). This opener gave us a lot of confidence for the second half and we managed to score two goals in the space of five minutes: the first in the 55th by Bonsu on a nice through pass from Betina (0-2) and the last by Sommer, gone alone to deceive the goalkeeper with a subtle stung ball (0-3, 62′). During the last quarter of an hour, Mulhouse managed to reduce the score in the 78th following a ball behind our defense (1-3).
We end the season with two great victories, during which we were able to put players from the Elite group of next season into situation. It was also the last game at Racing for some of our young players from the Academy: Lomboto, Bonsu, Sommer, Betina and Sabater, whom we wish to find a new project that matches their talent and above all their super state of mind. »
