The Bressans have not played an official match since August 21 during the first day of the championship!
The Bressans banned from flying
Yesterday, our colleagues from Progress revealed that Karim Mokeddem’s players were banned from flying at Lyon airport. In fact, in recent weeks, four players have tested positive for Covid-19. However, to board, Air Corsica requires the signing of a sworn certificate. A document difficult to sign for the Bressans, because it must certify that each player and member of the staff has not been in contact with a person who tested positive during the last fourteen days. Problem: the fortnight of FBBP 01 ends only today. This morning, Sporting Club Bastiais announced on its social networks that the match would be maintained but the kick-off was postponed for 30 minutes due to the late arrival of the evening’s opponents. The Bressans must take off this afternoon at 4 p.m. to reach Ile de Beauté. Kick-off is now set for 8:30 p.m.
No match since August 21 for the FBBP 01
Due to cases in its workforce but also in that of its opponents, Bourg-en-Bresse has played only one of the four matches to date. It was on the first day, August 21, with a 0-0 draw against Cholet. The Bressans will therefore return to competition tonight, three weeks after their last official match. The lack of pace could be felt because the Bastiais of Mathieu Chabert have them disputed all of their posters.
