Mythic Quest is one of several popular comedy series on Apple TV Plus. The series is in its third season and a fourth has already been ordered. Now reporting Variety which is about to get Apple’s first spin-off series.
The new series will be called Mere Mortals and will be about “employees, players and fans who are influenced by the game around which the main series revolves”. It is written by Ashly Burch (who plays game tester Rachel in both Mythic Quest and Mere Mortals), John Howell Harris and Katie McElhenney. All three also write about the main series.
The series will consist of eight episodes, which in style will be reminiscent of Mythic Quest episodes such as “A Dark Quiet Death” and “Backstory!”.
