Bad news for the missing Bulgarian woman.
The 33-year-old Bulgarian citizen Katina Kirilova, who has been missing since August 1, was killed. This is claimed by police sources in the city of Bamberg, in the province of Bavaria in Germany, Bild writes.
Although the body of the Bulgarian woman was not found, the authorities detained a man on suspicion of complicity in the act. It is Joseph Georg Heimrath, 73 years old. When he was arrested, the police and prosecutor’s office in Bamberg confirmed that they were investigating the case as a murder.
“A 73-year-old man from Forchheim County is suspected of murdering Katina Kirilova, the police issued a warrant for his arrest on Thursday morning,” the message said.
The police statement said the missing woman and the suspect met several weeks ago in the red light district of Hajrat, after which the woman “ceased all contact with her relatives”.
The woman has a red heart tattoo on the front of her neck and all over her right arm.
Tracking dogs were also used in the search for the woman. Currently, a team of over 30 investigators and police officers are looking for her.
