The authorities are looking for Leila Cavett and they have asked for the collaboration of the community since “they are concerned about his health and safety”, after no one has claimed the minor in more than 48 hours.
Last Sunday, the police of Miramar was alerted to a boy of about two years that he was alone on a street in that city in southeast Florida.
According to authorities, officers spent more than 90 minutes touring the area and knocking on houses in the area to find someone who could give a reason for the boy, hoping to find a parent or guardian.
In the absence of an answer, the minor has been placed at the disposal of the Federal Department of Children and Family and a foster family until it is possible to find out the whereabouts of their respective parents.
As reported by the police of Miramar, the last time it was seen Cavett He was driving a car, although at the moment they have not given more data on the search, they are continuing the investigation to determine why the minor ended up on the street.
Gina Lewis, who lives in Alabama and is the sister of the missing woman, assured the local chain WSVN that the two-year-old boy is her nephew Kamden and added that she does not know why her sister who lived in Georgia would have traveled to Florida.
