The untimely death of a young real estate agent from Sydney in Bali has left his family devastated and searching for answers. Charles Bradley, 28, died several hours after drinking at a beach club in Canggu on April 16. CCTV footage shows him collapsing twice before being taken to Siloam Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His family is urging anyone with information to come forward, as nobody seems to know where Charles was or what he had consumed before his collapse. The family is awaiting an autopsy report to shed light on the mysterious death. While there is no evidence yet of foul play or methanol poisoning, past incidents involving dangerous homemade alcohol sold as branded or imported alcohol have raised concerns over drink safety on the island. Foreign tourists, including Australians, have died or become seriously sick from methanol poisoning, with most cases going undocumented. Bali’s police chief has no data on the number of people affected by drink poisoning in the area. Tourists are advised to exercise caution when drinking spirits or cocktails in Bali and Lombok.
