Mystery Surrounding Disappearance of Goldman Sachs Analyst Ends in Tragic Discovery

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of John Castic, an analyst at Goldman Sachs, came to a tragic end.

The body of Castic, 27, an Illinois native and Lower Manhattan resident, was found in the waters of Newtown Creek this Tuesday, less than a half-mile away from where he was last seen after a concert at the Brooklyn Mirage. , according to the authorities.

Castic disappeared after leaving the popular Bushwick nightspot around 3 a.m. Saturday, according to the New York Police Department.

The search for the young analyst culminated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, when a man sighted a shirtless, bloated body floating face down in the English Kills, an arm of the East River, near 1100 Grand St.

They found no signs of violence

The witness called the police, who sent the New York Police Department’s (NYPD) Emergency Service Unit to recover the body, later identified as Castic’s, according to police sources.

Police sources indicated that the body did not show obvious signs of trauma other than drowning.
