On the night of 23 April, six young people were admitted to hospital with symptoms of poisoning. All the young people had been to a Russian meeting at Fredriksten fortress in Halden.
The young people had unusual symptoms. They must have severe pain, delusions and anxiety.
Now the test results are ready. The blood samples have been examined for around 10,000 different substances.
– No traces of new synthetic substances or other unexplained findings have been discovered in any of them, the police said in a press release on Friday.
No trace of new dope
Senior doctor at Poison Information Dag Jacobsen has previously speculated whether there could be a new type of drug in circulation. The reason was that the youth had unusual symptoms.
– This was somewhat new, even for seasoned people who have worked with this for many years, said Jacobsen.
NRK wrote on Thursday that at least two of the young people’s tests were ready.
– No traces of new ones have been discovered
Synthetic substances are all drugs that are produced synthetically and do not originate from nature, writes Rusinfo. LSD, MDMA, GHB and amphetamine are examples of synthetic drugs.
” data-term=”synthetic substances”>synthetic substances or other inexplicable findings in the samples taken, Sykehuset Østfold wrote in an SMS to the two young people.
The samples may have been taken too late
Oslo University Hospital (OUS) will carry out several investigations.
Several of the samples were taken many hours after the young people became ill.
– We therefore have to take into account that these may have been taken too late for it to have been possible to detect certain types of substance in them, the police say.
The young people who were admitted to hospital have been informed of the analysis results.
Proposes closure
The case has been investigated by the police in Halden. All the young people involved have been questioned in the case.
– On the basis of the interviews, the police cannot see any connection or similarity between the cases, beyond the fact that they have deteriorated during the Russian meeting, the police state.
The police suggest that the case will be dropped.
I think she was drugged
Jenny-Marie Viik (18) from Larvik has previously told NRK that she thinks she was drugged.
She is one of the young people who was admitted to hospital.
– I howled because I couldn’t breathe. The girls said I had been screaming “my stomach is burning”, “my stomach is burning”, the whole time. I do not know what happened. I just had a lot of pain in my stomach and screamed and screamed, Viik told NRK.
Ole Gerhard Dalane Andersen (18) from Halden has previously told NRK that he experienced breathing difficulties, hallucinations and delusions.
– I was stupid enough to accept drinks from someone I don’t know and trust, he told NRK after the Russian meeting.
