An iron sphere with a diameter of about one and a half meters has appeared on a beach in Japan. The discovery was made on the beach of Enshuhama, in the city of Hamamatsu, located on the Pacific coast of Shizuoka prefecture. It is not yet clear what it could be, but according to the first hypotheses it would be a buoy for mooring ships.
One and a half meter diameter sphere on a beach
The gigantic ball, orange / brown in color, which has some darker patches probably due to rust, was discovered around 9 in the morning on Tuesday 21 February, when it was just after midnight in Italy.
The resident who sighted the object immediately notified the police, who once arrived at the scene proceeded to transennare l’area for security reasons.
A witness: the ball has been there for a month
The Japanese police, who are trying to understand what it could be and how the sphere ended up on the beach, subjected the object to X-rays and discovered that the sphere is empty inside.
There is no risk that it will explodethe agents said to reassure the population.
However, according to local media reports, a man who often jogs on the beach said he was surprised by the uproar: “It’s been there for a month, I’ve tried to push it but it won’t move,” he said.
Investigations underway by the police
The coast guard also intervened on the spot to carry out all the necessary investigations. The most absurd and joking hypotheses have begun to circulate on the internet.
Some point out that the ball resembles those in the Dragon Ball manga. Others talk about an object left by a UFO or from alien civilizations. But the handles, present on the surface of the mysterious sphere, suggest a much simpler hypothesis.
In fact, it could be a buoy for mooring ships that came loose and reached Enshuhama beach, in the city of Hamamatsu
