Itinerant meatball seller, Daryanto alias Anto (39) was finally found after being reported missing for two days since Monday (11/14/2021). While missing, Anto admitted that he was invited by an old man who had previously ordered 3 meatballs from Anto.
“The old man asked to make meatballs, but I haven’t finished preparing him yet, he told me to follow him, I went to him, and left my rombong (cart),” said Darianto when met at the Sungai Kunjang Police Station, Wednesday (17/11/2021) night .
He explained that when the old man asked him to leave, Anto was asked not to bring anything. During that time, said Anto, he was given a number of advices to give alms, because according to him, the old man said that Anto was not giving charity.
“Anyway, the old man asked me to go for a walk, he said there was no need for anything, let’s just walk. He told me to always give alms,” said Anto.
“During our two days of walking, there was no feeling of hunger, no feeling of tiredness, no eating and drinking. Anyway, just keep walking on the ring road there,” he explained.
After realizing that Anto admitted that he was under a tree. He then tried to contact his wife and one of his colleagues.
“I was there (under the tree) waiting to be picked up by a friend until I fell asleep,” he explained.
Not long after, residents who found out that Anto was a viral meatball seller because he was missing, then contacted the police. At around 17.00 WIB, members of the Sungai Kunjang Police who received the report came to the location where Anto was found.
