Mysterious Earthquake on Planet Mars Accompanied by Rumbling, What is a Sign?

Mysterious earthquake on Planet Mars to hear a loud rumbling sound. The results of the study revealed this strange phenomenon.

Reportedly, the roar that came with the earthquake was the activity of the volcano on the red planet.

Launching from Science Alert, Hrvoje Tkalci who is a geophysicist from the Australian National University said that the existence of an active Mars mantle, makes researchers have to understand more about the planet’s evolution.

Uncover Mysterious Earthquakes on Planet Mars

Mars is a terrestrial planet that is quite close to Earth. The structure of Mars is very similar to that of Earth, including their weather system.

Researchers have just discovered a mysterious event on Mars. The red planet was detected experiencing an earthquake and there was a mysterious roar.

According to them, this is most likely due to ongoing volcanic activity in the mantle of Mars.

“Knowing if the mantle of Mars is active is very important for us to understand how Mars evolved as a planet,” said geophysicist at the Australian National University, Hrvoje Tkalci.

Tkalci also added that research into Mars’ mantle could help answer all the fundamental questions about the solar system and its evolution that currently don’t exist.

Previously, some experts did not believe in the mysterious earthquake on Mars. That’s because Mars is known to have a slight magnetic field.

“All life on Earth occurs because of the Earth’s magnetic state and its ability to shield humans from cosmic radiation, so without life’s magnetic field, such an event would not have occurred,” the researchers said.

Earthquake History on Mars

Although some researchers don’t believe it, in fact since November 2018 NASA has detected various events that appear on Mars.

Among these events were seen hundreds of earthquakes with rumbling sounds. Luckily, the sound only occurs around Mars so it doesn’t cause any other events on Earth.

“We found the fact that masquakes (earthquakes that occur on Mars) have repeatedly occurred throughout the day on Mars.

Meanwhile, Marsquakes detected from NASA reports in the past, appear to only occur at midnight when planetary conditions are calmer.

In addition, earthquakes that occurred conventionally in nine patterns were also identified with the latest seismic. There are a total of 47 phenomena.

Most of these events originate in the Cerberus Fossae area of Mars. Meanwhile, large earthquakes have also been recorded in May and June 2019.

Tkalci assumed that the 47 Martian earthquakes that occurred under the Cerberus Fossae region were the result of the movement of molten rock in the planet’s mantle.

The occurrence of a mysterious earthquake on Planet Mars will only occur around the planet. Then it will not affect the activity of the planet or space objects around it. (R10/HR-Online)
