BUCHAREST – An unmarked drone was discovered by a farmer in northern Romania, not far from the border with Ukraine.

Officials from the NATO member state are now investigating the incident, following last week’s drone crash near Croatia.

Police and prosecutors descended on the Bistrita-Nasaud area of Transylvania on Monday (14/3/2022), after a villager found the plane in a field near his home.

“So far, the origin of the plane is unknown, and its owner has not been identified,” prosecutors in the nearby city of Cluj were quoted as saying by AP.
