The small town of Keiss in Scotland is popular with British fishermen.
Recently, Gregg Jenkins and his son Tyler, who live in Stoke-on-Trent, England, went on holiday in Keiss.
There they made a discovery they will soon forget.
HOSPITALIZED: Last year, the artist was diagnosed with acute encephalitis, and since then he has spent a lot of time in hospital. Recently, he is said to have been in the intensive care unit. Now his wife shares pictures from the hospital of the “Fairytale of New York” singer. view more
Never seen before
Jenkins says that he and his son wanted to explore the area.
– We wanted to see all the beautiful harbors along the way, says Jenkins to the news agency Pen News.
On the shore they found a bright orange creature they had never seen before.

– No idea
At first, Gregg Jenkins and his son thought they had come across an octopus.
He estimates that the creature was about 120 centimeters long.
– When we got closer, we clearly saw that it was a fish, but we had no idea what kind. It was a bit greasy, and we poked it a bit with a stick, he says.
The two became curious about what they had actually found on the shore.
– It was very exciting. This is not how you see it in Stoke-on-Trent, he says.
It is perhaps not so strange, because Stoke-on-Trent is roughly in the middle of England. The nearest coastline is an hour’s drive away.
Mysterious discovery: DNA test ready
– Me after a night on the town
Gregg Jenkins, who is a drone enthusiast, filmed the fish and posted the video on his Facebook page, DroneHub.
He wrote the following:
“Any fishermen (or fisherwomen) here? What kind of fish is this? We found it on the beach in Scotland. As there has not been an alien invasion, I have no explanation for what this is. It was massive – 120 centimeters long. By the way, it looks like me after a night on the town.”

The silicone for Kardashian?
On Facebook, he asked his followers what on earth he had filmed, and in the comments section there are many who joke:
“These are the old silicone implants of the Kardashian family”.
“I’m a fisherman, and I can tell you this: I have no idea.”
“It’s a male water haggis.”
Many comment that it resembles a koi, which according to Large Norwegian encyclopedia is a Japanese farming form of carp – but which lives in fresh water.

Little whale?
Grenn Jenkins’ video has even put the experts off their game.
Pen News asked zoologist Rob Deaville what the hell the orange fish is.
Deaville works in the UK Cetacean Strandings Investigation Program (CSIP), which coordinates investigations of stranded animals around the UK coastline.
He also scratches his head.
– It looks like the remains of some kind of small whale. I see a dorsal fin, and the upper jaw sticking out in front. When it comes to species, it is difficult to say, he says.
Marine researcher Nick Davison in CSIP is equally confused, and also has no answer as to what it is about.
– I agree with Rob – it looks like the remains of a small whale, but we could use better pictures. We found a similar dolphin a couple of kilometers away, but it’s not that one, he says.
