Spanish investigators have found no trace of violence in the house of the Flemish couple Laura Trappeniers and Marc Olbrechts on Tenerife. Camera images from the neighbors across the street are currently being reviewed. It is said that he saw a man entering their home in the middle of the night.
There was an alarm in the town of the Flemish couple Laura Trappeniers (66) and Marc Olbrechts (71) on Tenerife. The system is said to have gone off one evening at 9:30pm during the period of their disappearance. This is what a source told RTL Info. According to the same source, surveillance footage from neighbors across the street showed a man entering their house at 1am. He then left in a cart. However, that information has not yet been confirmed to our editors. The video is said to be of poor quality, making it impossible to identify the color or shape of the vehicle.
It was previously reported that nothing was stolen from their home in Callao Salvaje: their mobile phones, computers and wallets were found there. The police also searched the property they wanted to rent, and no traces of violence were found in that place either.
There is no sign of Marc Olbrechts himself at the moment. The man and his wife were reported missing on Wednesday, April 24. They were last seen by friends on Monday, April 22.
Laura Trappeniers was found six days later by a local fisherman off the coast of Arico, on the east side of the island. Her body was badly mutilated. The woman was missing both her legs and her hand. A yellow plastic bag was tied over her head.
The place where the woman was found is more than fifty kilometers away from Callao Salvaje, a small peaceful town on the south side of Tenerife where Laura and Marc came to live sixteen years ago. They bought a small villa with a swimming pool. Every two or three months they returned to Belgium to visit their family. About five years ago the couple bought a second small town nearby.

A bad feeling
Friends and neighbors of the couple previously said that shortly before she left, Laura had been in contact with a man from Eastern Europe who wanted to stay in their rented house for a short time. Laura told a friend during yoga that she had a bad feeling about that conversation. The lease would not have continued.
Acquaintances of the couple found their Opel Mokka with a Spanish license plate near their village last weekend. According to our information, the car was not locked. Clothes, sunglasses and a knife were found inside.
