Rudolph Farias IV, aka Rudy, disappeared when he was 17 while walking his dogs in Houston, Texas on March 6, 2015. His dogs had been caught…but he hadn’t.
The now 25-year-old was found eight years later, on June 29, 2023, in the same city. A passerby discovered him unconscious outside a church and called 911, Houston police reported on Twitter.
He would have been assaulted
His mother, contacted by the American media ABC13, said Rudy was covered in cuts and bruises, with blood in his hair. She tried to talk to him but he only said a few words and curled up in a fetal position.
In 2015, US authorities reported that Rudy was diagnosed with depression, post-traumatic stress and anxiety.
The search had been stopped quickly, only a few days after his disappearance.
