Five members of a family were found dead in different locations, and the police began an investigation.
The Songpa Police Station in Seoul said that they received a report of a fall at an apartment in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu at around 7:29 a.m. on the 23rd and responded to the scene to find A, a woman in her 40s, dead.
In the process of checking Mr. A’s movements, the police discovered that four other family members had also died.
Three people died at a residence in Songpa-gu, and the remaining one died at a hotel in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do.
It was found that these people were Mr. A’s husband, teenage daughter, and the husband’s mother and sister, respectively.
A police official said, “We are currently investigating the cause and circumstances of death,” and “We are also investigating the connection between deaths by accident.”
