On Monday afternoon, the emergency services went to an address outside Flisa in Åsnes municipality in Innlandet, after a woman reported a lifeless man on the ground outside the house.
The man, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Discovery of dead person
The police have since investigated the death, which they have described as suspicious. They have had forensics technicians, dog patrols and a drone on the scene in an attempt to find answers.
– For the time being, there is no indication that a criminal act has taken place. We have not yet received a response from the crime technicians’ analyses. And we also have to wait for the autopsy report. This will give us the necessary and better information, says police attorney Vibeke Stolp Ekeland to the local newspaper Glåmdalen Tuesday.
– All possibilities open
To Dagbladet, Ekeland states that no one has the status of suspect or accused in connection with the death.
– We are still keeping all options open, says the police attorney.

On Tuesday, the police have confirmed the identity of the deceased man, and have notified next of kin. He is described as local, but does not live in the area where he was found dead.
What he did there is unclear.
– We are in the process of mapping the man’s movements until he was found, in order to get a picture of the sequence of events, says Ekeland to Glåmdalen.
Found the man: – Unpleasant
Dagbladet spoke on Monday with the woman who found the man. She said that she first saw him lying in the courtyard from the kitchen window.
Walking up to him, she quickly realized he was dead. He was freezing cold and had head injuries, she said. She then notified the police.
– It’s uncomfortable. I assume he has fallen, because it is very icy in several places, the woman told Dagbladet.
