Mysterious Baltic Sea Structure: Ancient Civilization, UFO or Ice Age Artifact?

In 2011, Swedish researchers Peter Lindberg and Denis Asberg discovered a mysterious structure at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. While searching for treasure, their sonar detected an object with a diameter of about 60 meters, located at a depth of 90 meters. Scientists also said that the structure has a “stair-like shape” and that there is another unidentified object about 200 meters away.

This discovery caused a wave of speculation about its origins. Some have even suggested that it may be a remnant ancient civilizationA UFO, a hidden Nazi weapon or a World War II bunker. Lindberg, in an interview with NBC in 2012, said: “If it is a structure, it must have been built thousands of years ago, before the Ice Age. If it was Atlantis, it would be amazing. ”

In 2016, detailed investigations were carried out on the underwater structure. The Evaluation X team went to the site, took samples, and filmed a documentary about the Swedish researchers’ discovery. The samples were submitted for further analysis. As the WION website says, geologist Volker Bruchert from the University of Stockholm, after studying them, concluded that the object was not mysterious.

“Most of the samples are granites, gneisses and sandstones. My guess is that this structure was created during the Ice Age,” explained Bruchert. So researchers concluded that the creation was created by movements glaciersprobably made of sandstone, basalt or hardened volcanic lava.
