“The biggest challenge is related to the economic recovery after the pandemic. Here we need a program of macroeconomic support at the micro level. We are talking about the most affected industries, for example, the service industry – restaurant, hotel,” he said.

Milovanov believes that “it is necessary to restore the economy as quickly as possible and support those industries that suffered the greatest losses during the pandemic.”

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Lyubchenko was appointed by the Verkhovna Rada May 20. Before that, on April 14, he was five years appointed head of the State Tax Service.

On the post of Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, Lyubchenko was replaced by Igor Petrashko, who Parliament dismissed on May 18. Petrashko headed the ministry from March 17, 2020.

As of May 20 in Ukraine confirmed 2.17 million cases coronavirus infection, almost 48.9 thousand patients with COVID-19 have died, 1.9 million have recovered.

Due to the epidemic, an adaptive quarantine is in effect in Ukraine, in connection with which restrictions are periodically introduced in the regions, which also affect business.
