Myke Towers will donate $ 150,000 to Fiona’s victims

Puerto Rican singer Myke Towers has announced that he will donate $ 150,000 from his next two concerts to those affected in Puerto Rico by Hurricane Fiona, which caused great devastation on the island.

Myke Towers he had to postpone two of his three performances at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, scheduled for 17 and 18 September, due to the hurricane, which landed in the southwest of the island last Sunday.

The new concert dates will be Tuesday and Wednesday next week, according to a statement from the event’s producers.

The artist will donate $ 75,000 from the proceeds of each performancewith a total of $ 150,000, and will coordinate with his team the disbursement of funds to those most affected by the natural phenomenon.

“I visited the town of Salinas, it is difficult to explain how much emotion it gave me to see so many needy families. I have been blessed, this land has given me to see my dream come true and I will do my best to help and be with my people, “said the singer.

“We have to put everything aside and as the leader of the most listened to music movement in the world (reggaeton) we join forces and work together to make Puerto Rico grow,” he added.

Salinas, like other municipalities in southern Puerto Rico, was severely affected by the floods caused by Fiona, which left catastrophic damage to homes and infrastructure and the entire island without electricity.
