Since 1is June, Mycelium, the incubator of bio-food companies in Quebec City, located in the heart of the Grand Marché of Quebec, is under the governance of the Créneau d’Excellence Aliments Santé. Inaugurated in 2019, Mycelium has supported nearly 46 start-up companies. Over the next three years, 90 start-up and growing companies will benefit from the services of the new Mycelium team. In addition, Quebec City’s food incubator offers businesses: a 1,500 sq. Ft. Kitchen in which 4 or 5 businesses can work simultaneously to develop new products and familiarize themselves with the equipment of a commercial kitchen before move to scale up their production and the Innovation Space, a market validation tool to co-develop their products and packaging through consumer feedback to increase their chances of launching successful products commercial. https://myceliuminc.ca. 50e wedding anniversary

Rejeanne Dumont and Jean-Rock Roy, from Pohénégamook, are celebrating their 50e wedding anniversary. Both originally from this town in Bas-St-Laurent, they were married in 1971 at the Marie-Médiatrice Church in Estcourt. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Jean-Roch, semi-retired, is a heavy machinery contractor (Les Entreprises Jean-Roch Roy) specializing in excavation. Réjeanne has always kept the company’s accounts. The couple are now taking advantage of the deconfinement for meeting friends, playing golf and reading. The Dumont and Roy families congratulate them.

The Literacy Foundation announces the appointments of Sebastien proulx (left), former Minister of Education, Recreation and Sport and Minister of Families in the Government of Quebec, and Jonathan tessier (right), Director – Client Solutions and Business Intelligence at Kaleido Croissance, as a new member of its Board of Directors. Today a lawyer and strategic advisor at Gravel, Bernier, Vaillancourt, Sébastien Proulx is continuing his long-standing commitment to the cause of literacy. Manager in business intelligence, Jonathan Tessier also adds additional expertise to the board of directors, in addition to consolidating the organization’s presence in Quebec City. His appointment is also part of the pursuit of the close partnership between the Foundation and Kaleido, already official presenter of the Reading as a Gift program.
