-Protests against the military coup in Myanmar are spreading around the world.

This is because at least 18 people were killed by live ammunition by the military and police on the 28th of last month.

Local media Myanmar Now reported on the 1st that citizens were pouring into the streets for protests.

Myanmar Now said they were doing a three-finger salute. The three-finger salute means resisting dictatorship and making sacrifices for the cause.

Some citizens gave a three-finger salute with a rose in their hand or placed flowers and helmets on the street to commemorate a teacher who died during a protest in Yangon the day before.

Under the face of Supreme Commander Min Aung Hlaing, there was a sign saying “Be ashamed. We will never forgive you.”

A three-finger salute relay was also followed on social media. A college student who attended a protest against the Myanmar military coup was taken to the police and raised three fingers.

One man was shot in a leg and bleeding, but the three-finger salute did not stop. The appearance was broadcast live through local media cameras.

Artists also joined the protest by drawing three-finger paintings all over the street.

The three-finger salute is spreading beyond Myanmar to Southeast Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and India.

It is through the’Milk Tea Alliance,’ which was created by sharing a sense of anti-dictatorship and anti-authoritarianism.
