Just two years after his participation in Star Wars, the actor decided to permanently retire from acting because of the constant harassment he experienced. In 2012, Lloyd indicated in an interview for the ‘Daily Mail’ portal that “my whole childhood was hell”, because he was constantly abused by his classmates, who annoyed him with the sound of the saber of light every time they saw him. The actor also expressed that he felt a lot of resentment towards George Lucas, since he indicated that he did not feel the slightest empathy for his situation.
At a very young age, the actor had to give more than 60 daily interviews to promote the George Lucas film. This was undoubtedly a trigger for him and soon he decided to leave everything behind, and destroyed any memory he had in his house from the film ‘Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace’.

In 2015, he was arrested for assaulting his mother in an argument, and in July of the same year he went to jail after leading a chase with the police in South Carolina, which ended when Lloyd crashed his car into a tree. A year later, he was transferred from prison to a mental health clinic, where he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.and. For 5 years his name was kept away from the media, but in January 2020 the actor’s mother offered some statements to talk about her son’s health, thanking the support of some of the fans of the ‘Star Wars’ saga ‘, who have wished the actor a speedy recovery.
