My vote was betrayed and mocked by Mr. Iohannis and those in power. My hope grew weary. I retire to my profession, to my books, to the land of my heart

Actress Oana Pellea states in a post on Facebook that her vote “was betrayed and mocked by Mr. Iohannis and those in power” and says she is tired of seeing “petty people fighting hard for power by trampling standing a tired, lying, stolen, sick, betrayed, exhausted country ”.

“It simply came to my notice then. My hope and that of others… For 31 years… for THIRTY-ONE YEAR I have been hoping, militated for democracy… it seems that in vain… I retire in my profession. In my books… in the country of my heart (which is also called Romania)… in my dream that one day… this beautiful Earth called Romania… will have leaders who will love this Country ”, Oana Pellea also writes.

Oana Pellea participated in many of the rallies in Victoriei Square from 2017-2018.

Full post by actress Oana Pellea:

I love my country but I don’t love my rulers. Too bad this beautiful country. I consider that we are living a profoundly bad moment for Romania. I hoped for a democratic, civilized, European Romania. I was disappointed, betrayed, lied to. My vote was given to the least evil… My vote was betrayed and mocked by Mr. Iohannis and by those in power.
My hope is tired. My hope and that of others… For 31 years… THIRTY-ONE YEAR I have been hoping, militated for democracy… it seems in vain…
I’m retiring to my profession. In my books… in the country of my heart (which is also called Romania)… in my dream that one day… this beautiful Earth called Romania… will have leaders who will love this Country.
I’m tired of seeing small people fighting hard for power, trampling on a tired, lying, stolen, sick, betrayed, exhausted country.
I better try to do good (as much as I can) around me, through my profession, through my humble existence, and so on.
Everything I have stated here contains a lot of pain, honor, sadness and a lot of disgust.
I hope that those who still have energy, strength and especially conscience will continue to fight for a democratic and dignified ROMANIA, a Romania with laws and righteous people.
