My Time at Sandrock – An open-world, feel-good, city-renovation life sim
My time at Sandrock will land on Xbox this summer! Developed by Pathea (of Portia fame) and published by PM Studios, it will be a great way to break away from the heat outside and open the doors to a brand new adventure.
My time at Sandrock continues My time at Portia’s tradition of letting the player take on the role of a builder. Players must complete quests and build structures and machines to restore Sandrock to its former glory. The player can also use various tools of the trade to gather resources on an open world map and explore the long-forgotten and dangerous ruins of the Old World to discover new dark secrets. When players aren’t building imaginative gadgets, they can farm, raise animals, and build their workshop. My time at Sandrock introduced a number of DIY elements into the homestead building aspect for players who want their own unique look.
I want to start playing My time at Sandrock?
Interested in where to start? Read on for some tips to get your journey started!
- Build relationships early! Once players arrive in the town of Sandrock, they will meet several townspeople to befriend. It is in your best interest to invest in these relationships early on, as these relationships take time to build. Every relationship you enter into has its own benefits! So be sure to take the time to talk to each person and decide which citizens you want to start building friendships with.
- Clear away the scrap heaps! Venture over to the Eufaula Salvage Company yard and you’ll find piles of junk. Come here every day and clean up these junk piles! In these stacks you will find data discs that you can use to unlock new workbenches and machines. With new workbenches come new recipes for new resources and weapons!
- Complete Daily Commissions! Earn daily commissions every day of your stay at Sandrock. Completing these contracts is important as they are your main source of Gols (Sandrock’s currency) and workshop reputation. Increasing your Workshop Reputation allows you to rank higher on the Workshop Leaderboard, which translates into additional in-game Gold and Water at the end of each month and year.
These are just some of the ways to get your time at Sandrock off to a good start, but it goes without saying that the best way to start is by exploring the different game elements that you enjoy the most. From mini-games to customizing your workshop to building a romance with NPCs and dungeon crawling, there are many different ways to experience life in Sandrock.
We really hope you explore the depths of the game and discover the excitement that will be galloping home this summer!
