Here is the painful tale of Ema Stokholma: «My mother had beaten me since I was very young. At four years old the first punch in the car. It was the first time that happened in the car, from that moment I started to feel in danger everywhere, not just at home». Then Andrea Delogu, moved, resumed some passages from the book: «Your mother tried to drown you and asked you to throw you off a bridge. You were saved because a passerby asked what was going on».
Ema Stokholma continues: «We need to enter more into the life of neighbors or acquaintances. We must intervene if we hear screams. In my case no one intervened, grow with the awareness that you are alone. After years of analysis, I am now learning to let myself go with feelings».
