Former Chilean footballer, Claudio Martinez, became a victim of a beating by bar employees in Kuningan, South Jakarta. Claudio Martinez’s wife, Musriana or Ana said that the bar management had proposed mediation efforts.
“It’s there, ask for mediation on Saturday,” said the wife of Claudio Martinez, Musriana or Ana, when contacted, Monday (4/7/2022).
The beating of Claudio Martinez occurred on Saturday (2/7) in the morning. At that time the victim was a visitor at the bar.
Ana said that at this time her party had not discussed peace efforts in resolving the case of beating Claudio Martinez. The bar management’s request for mediation was rejected.
“I didn’t accept it because I wanted to be dealt with according to the law. My husband was beaten like an animal,” she said.
According to Ana, his party did not have a problem with the bar. However, he and his family insisted on demanding justice for the beating that happened to Claudio Martinez.
“We don’t have the same problem (saying the name of the bar, red). I only demand justice for the staff who have carried out beatings and anarchic actions,” he said.
“We’re not animals, we’ve been screaming for an ulcer but the beatings keep coming,” added Anna.
Metro Police Investigate Report of Claudio Martinez
Contacted separately, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E Zulpan confirmed the report beating submitted by Claudio Martinez. The report is being investigated by the police.
“Polda Metro has intervened, the report has been received,” said Zulpan.
The beating that happened to Claudio occurred on Saturday (2/7) early in the morning. The victim’s wife, Musriana or Ana, admitted that her husband was beaten by more than five bar employees.
Ana immediately reported the case to the Polda Metro Jaya. Zulpan said that his party is currently still studying the report from Claudio Martinez.
“In the research stage,” Zulpan explained.
Claudio Martinez’s report is registered with the number LP/B/3318/VII/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA. The report is now being handled by the Directorate General of Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya.
