My health space is a personal digital space designed as a “safe” where you can keep your health documents. You have full control over which professionals are authorized to access these documents, and these professionals only have access to the documents that pertain to them according to the permissions you have granted them. This ensures that your health data is protected and medical confidentiality is respected.
Activating your account and data security: My GDPR health space
My Health Space is an online service offered by the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) in France. It allows users to view and manage their health information online, such as medical reports, prescriptions, vaccinations, etc.
To use My health space, you must first activate your account by following the instructions received upon registration. This involves entering certain codes and numbers, such as the temporary code you received, your social security number and the serial number of your Vitale card.
For each subsequent connection, in addition to the username and password, you will need to enter a unique access code received via email or SMS. This ensures maximum security for accessing your health information online.
The information stored in the My Health space is hosted in France and protected by high-level technical guarantees. The service is designed and hosted in an environment certified as Health Data Hosts (HDS), supported by the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) and approved for the General Security Referential (RGS). This ensures the privacy and security of your online health data.
Stay in control of your data: My GDPR health space
In the “Settings” section, define access to your data as you wish and establish which health professionals can consult it. You can block and unblock a specific professional. You can hide all your documents, even in an emergency: your medical records will only be visible to you, and to your profile administrator, if you have chosen one.
A document can be hidden from certain healthcare professionals, except for the person who sent it and the administrator of your choice. In all cases, all actions performed by a person other than yourself are visible in the activity history and are notified to you by e-mail.
Differentiated access according to healthcare professionals
My healthcare space offers differentiated access to healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc. Each professional can access a different part of users’ medical information, depending on their access rights and skills. This helps ensure the confidentiality of users’ medical data, while providing healthcare professionals with the access they need to that information for their practice.
To access My Health as a healthcare professional, you must register on the CNAM website and follow the instructions to obtain your access rights. Once your account is activated, you will be able to access the medical information of users with whom you have a professional relationship, using your username and password.
Set up emergency access
For emergencies, 2 situations are considered in the parameters, which you will need to set in advance:
- indicate whether or not you authorize the Samu-Centre 15 doctor to consult your data during an emergency call concerning you;
- indicate whether or not you authorize other healthcare professionals to view your records if your condition poses an immediate risk to your health.
