The story of 14-year-old Suri Saraí Sánchez Vázquez, who suffers from end-stage renal failure, is not easy.
Her father, Enrique Sánchez López, told El Mundo that it was until the age of 14 that they discovered that his daughter was born with small kidneys.
“Her mother was the one who detected this disease, my daughter never looked bad, she was always very happy, until her mother noticed that Suri was short of air and her feet swelled,” he said.
She also said that it was there when they started we began to take her to the private doctors and they all agreed that the disease that she suffers in the kidneys was already terminal stage and that there was no cure.
“The specialists told us that she had only 5 percent kidney, that this was terminal phase and that there was nothing else to do but operate,” he said.
“My daughter really wants to live, even in her illness she has always been very strong.”
He assured that now more than ever his little girl requires help since the government has not supported or granted them any scholarship program or much less opportunities.
The father, who is a bicycle repairman, asserted that this is the only livelihood he has to support his family.
“I would be satisfied if they gave me work, and the truth is now is when I need work the most, for the expenses that are coming,” he added.
They call to donate organs
For its part, the minor, who recently had surgery, through a video launched a call to citizens to donate their organs so that they can save a life.
“My name is Suri Saraí Sánchez Vázquez, I am 14 years old and I suffer from end-stage renal failure, I require a kidney donation. Donating your organs is important, I invite you to think about it and take the step: donating organs saves lives. If you want to support, call 271 225 7037. “
