With the intention of collaborating as much as possible in the confrontation with COVID-19 in Bayamo, Granma, a group of private sector transporters attended this morning a call made by the Municipal Defense Council (CDM) where they were flagged by the relevant authorities .
From now on, these workers will support the work of Public Health with the transfer of resources and health and support personnel to isolation centers, where people suspected of carrying the SARS-CoV-2 virus remain and who are treated with all protocols and logistical conditions.
They will also transport the medical equipment that performs the rapid tests, the fumigation equipment and the research equipment.
To carry out this important task, the attendees were distributed by health areas, while they were awarded, as a recognition, the logo created for this event and which is accompanied by the slogan We all save lives.
My sure contribution is the motto with which those who make up this work team identify themselves, who in a solidary and disinterested way gave a yes for the achievement of social welfare.
For his part, Calixto Santiesteban Ávila, president of the CDM, thanked the surprising assistance of the transporters, some 30, mostly owners of electric tricycles, vintage cars and pedicabs, while he invited them to carry out the task responsibly, taking into account the current health situation of the province that every day moves further away from the state to which the pandemic is to be controlled.
