“My body is eating me”, the story of Marina’s challenge to her rare disease in a documentary film

Scleroderma is a rare skin disease that affects one in one million people worldwide. Among the injured is the Lebanese Marina Farhat (32 years old), a graduate of journalism and media from Al-Azm University in Tripoli.

Marina participated in the “Loyac Film Camp 2022” workshop, wrote her story and produced it in a documentary entitled “My Body Eats Me” directed by Stephanie Tadros, with the aim of conveying her voice and story and raising awareness about this rare disease and how to confront and deal with it.

The film was shown to the public at the end of the workshop last week and won four awards: Best Text, Best Writing, Best Editing and Best Photography.
