It has been uncertain whether there will be a mobile fair in Barcelona this year at all. In 2020 The Mobile Worlds Congress in Barcelona was canceled altogether due to the corona pandemic, and in 2020 the fair was held in the summer, but with very few participants. The vast majority of exhibitors chose not to participate.
But this year, the Mobile World Congress is back. Not quite as usual, as it is mandatory to wear a face mask everywhere. In addition, everyone must inform the organizers daily about their health status. But many large companies are present this year, including Samsung, which has lined up with a stand, and the South Korean electronics giant have a couple of new products to show off, despite the fact that they launched the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones earlier this month.
This Galaxy Unpacked event was only virtual and was quite short-lived, as Samsung only had two new products on the program – namely the two Windows laptops Galaxy Book2 and Galaxy Book2 Pro 360.
The two machines are successors in the series of Galaxy laptops, which Samsung launched last year, and it is mainly about small upgrades.
Both Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro and Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 now come with 12th generation Intel Core processors, in addition to the fact that both models have been upgraded to Windows 11.
The built-in webcam has also been upgraded from 720p to 1080p, but otherwise most of the other specifications have remained the same.
Both Galaxy Book2 Pro and Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 both come in two versions with respectively. 13.3 and 15.6 inch Super AMOLED screen with FHD resolution (1920 x 1080), further you can choose between 8, 16 and 32 GB RAM as well as 256, 512 GB or 1 TB built-in storage.
The machines will be able to be quickly charged with the included 65 watt charger. Samsung also promises that the laptops’ battery lasts for 21 hours on a single charge.
Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro comes in the colors silver and graphite, while Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 also has a more colorful burgundy. All products will be available from April.
Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 has a suggested retail price of NOK 14,490, while the price for Galaxy Book2 Pro starts at NOK 13,490.
