Mutual Services Blood Bank Urgently Appeals for Blood Donations as Supplies Run Out

The Mutual Services Blood Bank reported today that it ran out of blood supplies, so it urged the population to donate.

“We have empty supplies, the refrigerators are empty, we cannot cover the needs of the hospitals,” the institution indicated in written statements.

For every unit of blood donated, there is the potential to save up to three lives.

The Mutual Services Blood Bank has centers in San Juan, Guaynabo, Bayamón and Ponce.
