KONTAN.CO.ID – The SARS-CoV-2 corona virus which causes Covid-19 disease continues to mutate.
In Indonesia itself, what has been confirmed to be entered is the corona B.1.1.7 mutation. The government also ensures vigilance against it.
Quoted from Kompas.com, Monday (15/3/2021), the mutation of the corona virus B.1.1.7 was announced to enter Indonesia on Tuesday (2/3/2021) by Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono.
To date, there have been six cases of mutation of the B.1.1.7 corona virus spread across five provinces, namely West Java, South Sumatra, North Sumatra, East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan.
The Ministry of Health ensures that all patients exposed to the B.1.1.7 corona virus mutation have recovered.

In addition, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that all close contacts of the first two cases of the B.1.1.7 mutation of the corona virus that Indonesian citizens brought back from Saudi Arabia were tested negative.
“Mutations are always monitored by the government because we know that mutations always occur and that is the character of the virus,” said Director of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of Direct Transmission of the Directorate General of P2P, Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia.
Meanwhile, for N439K, although it has been detected since November 2020, the government has not been able to confirm whether there has been a case for this virus mutation.
