Mutated coronavirus: Health Department closes schools in St.Moritz | Switzerland

SWITZERLAND [NEWS SERVICE] ⋅ The mutated coronavirus has spread in the Graubünden resort of St. Moritz. The health department is quarantining two hotels and closing the schools in the community.

(agl) In two hotels, around 12 cases of the mutated corona virus are currently known, writes the Graubünden registry in a media release on Monday morning. The canton is now taking action in the community: the two companies are being quarantined, employees and guests have to be tested. On Tuesday, an area test for the population is also to be carried out, with immediate effect there is a mask requirement in the entire municipality.

The canton has announced further restrictions for children and young people: schools and day-care centers will remain closed “until further notice”. This also applies to the ski schools. Club activities and sports training with young people should be avoided, as the message continues. If necessary, further measures would be adopted.
