In front of the crowd gathered on Demir Baba Tekke, the chairman of the DPS, Mustafa Karadai, stated: “From here, where our hearts and souls unite, to give us that energy to fight for freedom, for rights and freedoms, for dignity, and for democracy in our Motherland, we declare. Our love is stronger than your hate. And nothing can defeat us. Your hate cannot overcome our love!”
Karadai added, “For 27 years we have been defending this democracy because we have that union from 27 years ago. And this association is called the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. We have been successful for 27 years, but we also had our failures and mistakes. We must account for them today on this meadow. If at any time we had omissions, mistakes and if we make some mistakes, you are absolutely right to correct us and we are obliged to take into account those signals that you give us. If we don’t account for them, we won’t be together. If we are together, then we have acknowledged our mistakes. But those temporary phenomena, people who, because of personal ambitions, have passed through the DPS and think and take advantage of some momentary gaps of the DPS and declare themselves as political ideologues. From here we can boldly say to them, “This temporary phenomenon of yours cannot continue, because it is based only on small mistakes of ours that have been accounted for. You don’t have a cause, you don’t have an ideology, you don’t have that necessary thing for people to follow, that thing that can unite people.” And DPS has been defending our rights and freedoms for 27 years, because it was created precisely with those elements that we today call – freedom, unity, togetherness in our Motherland. What is our cause and that cause is DPS. Therefore, DPS will remain, and these temporary phenomena will pass into non-existence.”
In conclusion, the chairman of the DPS, Mustafa Karadayi, stated: “Our country needs stability and security, and to achieve this stability, we need to go to elections as soon as possible.” We are ready for elections. We are ready to participate in the next government so that there is stability in our homeland.”
