“Mustafa Karadai Calls for Urgent Reforms Amid Bulgaria’s State Collapse”

Caradai for the records: Everyone is distributing all kinds of compromising material, we resembled a cartoon country

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms wants a Grand National Assembly to be convened, DPS leader Mustafa Karadai announced at a briefing in Parliament.

“We are witnessing a total collapse of statehood. Everything that is happening is very unfortunate. Everything is falling apart, not a single power under the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria is functioning normally – neither the legislative, nor the executive, nor the judiciary. Everyone records everyone, everyone distributes all kinds of kompromat. Just imagine how we look in the eyes of our partners and allies in NATO and the EU. We looked like a cartoon country. Violators of the Constitution, of the laws of the country, of civil and human rights, pretend to be moralists and moral judges,” said Karadai.

And added:

“The way out of this situation – a year and a half ago, we from the DPS proposed changes to the Constitution, now we see that they remembered that, in addition to pre-election populism for the reform of the judicial system, actions are also needed. And deep reforms cannot happen without changes in the Constitution.”
