Barely three weeks before he was supposed to celebrate his 19th birthday, Mustafa Çakır from Zele suddenly died of a heart attack on Tuesday. “Last week he was one of the driving forces behind our school’s relief effort for the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Now he’s gone. It is unreal”, says Cathy De Raes, director of the Technical Atheneum in Lokeren. Family and friends are shocked at the news.
