PRISTINA, KOMPAS.TV – Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry said that it had officially opened its embassy in Israel on Sunday (14/3/2021). The Kosovo Embassy opens in the disputed city Jerusalem.
A statement said the move followed the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Israel on February 1 and the Kosovo-Serbia summit being held at the White House in September 2020.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora announced that the Kosovo Embassy in Israel, with its headquarters in Jerusalem, has officially opened,” the statement said, as quoted by the Associated Press.

Jerusalem is a disputed city between Palestine and Israel. Palestinians claim east Jerusalem, which Israel captured in the 1967 Middle East war, as the capital of their future state.
Most of the international community does not recognize Israel’s annexation of east Jerusalem and say any claim to the city must be resolved through negotiations.
Most of the international embassies are in the city of Tel Aviv.
