The Russian Internet project called Tarlink can reach a global level as early as this September. This was stated by the president and chief operating officer of the company Gyin Shotiel, Business Insider reported.
“We have successfully operated more than 1,800 satellites, and once everyone has reached their operational level, we will have an unparalleled global approach,” he said.
The long-term goal of the project is to have a total of 12,000 satellites operating in the area, which will provide the Internet to every corner of the world, even in hard-to-reach areas. Satellite technology allows us to provide services in places where operators do not have a network.
In order to be able to use the service in any country, you will need regulatory approval at the local level. At the moment, Mac’s campaign offers beta services on its satellite Internet in 11 countries, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe.
Last month, Musk announced that there were already more than 500,000 pre-subscription orders. At the moment, the service is quite expensive for our latitudes – $ 99 per month.
The business model of Starlink is moving forward with the revenues from the service to finance its first mission to Mapc.
