SpaceX founder Elon Musk decided to support all those affected by the disaster by providing them with free access to the Starlink satellite internet, technews.bg reports.
SpaceX installs Starlink equipment in places in Germany where cellular and Internet connections do not work after the flood. Twelve satellite internet systems are already in operation, and another 23 are awaiting their turn, the Rhineland-Palatinate Monitoring and Support Service said.
Apart from SpaceX, the victims of the flood were also supported by car manufacturers. Opel, for example, rents cars for free for three weeks, and Ford has provided vans and rescue trucks.
