The CEO de SpaceX y Tesla, Elon Musk, can’t seem to avoid speculation on Twitter.
Last Friday, the billionaire tycoon replied to a fellow user of Twitter, who, in addition to stating that full autonomous driving is “the greatest thing ever,” said that Tesla would be bigger than Apple. In a short tweet, Musk wrote: “I think there is a> 0% chance that Tesla is the largest company.”
When another user commented that he loved “the direction of that arrow,” the CEO simply replied, “Probably in a few months.” He later deleted the tweet, perhaps due to a recent drama involving another tweet he posted in 2018.
Last week, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) ordered that Musk delete a tweet from May 2018 in which he referred to the possible unionization of Tesla employees. The board also ruled that Tesla had violated the law when it forced employees to sign a confidentiality agreement that prevented them from speaking to the media about the company. The NLRB It also said Tesla wrongly fired union activist Richard Ortiz in 2017.
Musk has not yet responded publicly to the decision from NLRBbut it looks like he may have come to his senses with his most recent tweet.
It’s not the first time Elon Musk’s tweets have gotten him into trouble. In September 2018, the SEC filed a lawsuit against Musk accusing him of fraud and attempted to remove him from office, with the argument that he made a series of statements “False and misleading” on Twitter about a possible privatization of the company.
