SpaceX chief Elon Musk said that the official launch of the Starlink satellite service will take place in October. Musk wrote about this in his Twitter-channel.
So, answering a question from a social media user about when the public launch of Starlink will take place, Musk wrote “next month”, obviously referring to October. Probably, from this time on, the service for providing Internet connections via satellites will leave the beta testing stage.
According to Engadget journalists, today Starlink’s audience includes people from North America, parts of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Chile. In the near future, access to this service will appear in Mexico and Japan, and Musk has already registered subsidiaries in South Africa and the Philippines.
