US billionaire Elon Musk has said that the deal to acquire Twitter has been suspended pending details of spam and fake profiles.
According to a Musk post on Twitter, verification of information is expected to support the assessment that fake profiles are actually less than 5% of the total number of registered users.
Musk announced surprisingly that it buys Twitter aloneat the end of last month.
This collapsed 20% of the company’s shares in the first minutes after the news.
